I love the community and people of Saratoga Springs. We truly live among amazing people! The city has quickly expanded and changed from a small hometown city to a large complex city.
During the last eight years, we have been faced with many challenges due to rapid growth, and we’ve navigated these challenges making Saratoga Springs an even better place to live. While the city isn’t perfect, things are pretty good here. I agree with the city motto: “Life is just better here.”
My professional career and my service as a city council member over the last eight years and five years prior to that as a member of the Citizen’s Finance Committee has been dedicated to improvement and making good things even better. Over the last eight years we have brought in new business, increased services, improved infrastructure, secured funding for needed roads, reduced long-term financial obligations, and supported our first responders. This was all done while reducing property taxes!
We will face new challenges over the next four years, and we are in a critical point in our city’s history. Now is the time to secure our future by electing someone with proven professional experience, effectively served the city, and has demonstrated a commitment to reducing taxes.
My personal motto, my motto for city, and the plan for our city over the next four years is: “Dedicated to making good things better.” There is a Willden on the ballot, so “Where there is a Willden, there is a Way” to make our good city even better.
Let’s secure our future by electing Stephen Willden for City Council.
